After his childhood in Heythuysen and his studies with the Camillian fathers, Father Louis did put a lot of effort in taking care
for the sick and poor of MoroGoro and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania since 1961.
A severe decease forced him to return to The Netherlands in November 2009.
Instead of recovering and returning to his people in Dar es Salaam
he moved on to the house of his
Heavenly Father on the 2nd of February in the hospice The Ark in Roermond.
